 Vedpathak employs a plucking\, a rigorous self-invented process to create 
 works that aim to broaden the dialog and understanding of issues related t
 o identity\, spirituality\, social and gender politics.\n\n\nKushala Vora 
 is a dreamer\, community organizer and an interdisciplinary artist working
  in sculpture and drawing. Her practice is deeply influenced by the ecolog
 ical and social landscape of Panchgani\, India\, where she grew up.\n\n\nS
 haurya Kumar is the curator for E/Merge: Art of the Indian Diaspora. He cu
 rrently lives and works in Chicago\, IL. Kumar is an Associate Professor a
 t the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chair of the Departme
 nt of Printmedia.\n\n\nKumkum Sangari the panel moderator\, is the William
  F. Vilas Research Professor of English and the Humanities at the Universi
 ty of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.\nDr. Sangari has published extensively on Briti
 sh\, American and Indian literature\, the gendering of South Asian medieva
 l devotional traditions\, nationalist figures such as M.K.Gandhi\, and sev
 eral contemporary gender issues and communal violence. She will be the mod
 erator for the panel.\n\n\nThis is part of our series of programs for E/Me
 rge: Art of the Indian Diaspora.\nIn accordance with pandemic related publ
