IAHM docents open a window into the life of the Indian American community along Chicago’s vibrant Devon Avenue Indian marketplace. Gather at Tiffin restaurant at 4 p.m. Experience the diversity of Indian American culture as you explore grocery stores, sari shops, and jewelers during an hour-long guided stroll. Then return to Tiffin where we will watch their clay oven chef unlock the secrets of tandoori cooking and enjoy a specially prepared thali dinner of regional Indian dishes from distinctive and varied Indian culinary traditions.
Includes a sampling of craft beers from Itasca’s Church Street Brewing Company.
